The phones were supplied by an American Amazon merchant without my authority. Ordered from, and confirmed by Amazon, the equipment was ordered on Amazon's UK website, from a UK address, for delivery to the same UK address. The merchant supplied equipment earmarked by the manufacturer as being for use in the USA.The problems arising from the unusabilty in the UK of the equipment are self evident, making regrettable the absence of Amazon customer service and it's help to compensate for a situation of Amazon's making.Indeed, but for the Cardholder protection afforded and promptly given by American Express a court action might have resulted.
Works perfectly but not happy with 2 features. 2) I knew when I purchased it that it did not record the # of messages and I did not feel that I would miss that feature but since we have several people in the house who listen to messages the next person might only realize that there is a "new" message that someone else has heard if the number of messages are recorded. Great sound quality. 1)it records a message with all hang up calls and when I call screeen hang ups the speaker always emits a dial tone.
The only other complaint I have is that if you save a number into quick dial on one headset it doest save to all the others. It always shows that I have a new message in voice mail. The phone works fine. I got a referb and there is one bug. Thats not a problem anyway since I dont use the phones answering machine.
I don't use the built-in answering system as we use our telecom provider's but this phone system allows you to check that by storing your dial-in and access codes leaving you with only two buttons to push.Overall, I would recommend this phone to everyone without any reservations. The ability to use intercom while on a call and then to transfer a call to another handset is a great feature and one that I use constantly. The phones are light weight but durable, and deliver clear and high voice quality. Transfering phonebooks from one handset to another is really simple to do as is editing info in the phonebook. For the price, the features and performance are fantastic. I have had a few phones systems before but nothing that was this good. The 5-number redial memory is just right -- not too few or too many.
I have one handset in each room and you can have a different ringer for each phone and these have a talking caller ID so you can hear whos calling if you cant look at the moment. I simply love them.
